Text of Psalm 118
1Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
2Let Israel say, 'His steadfast love has no end.'
3Let the house of Aaron declare, 'His mercy is everlasting.'
4Let those who fear the Lord shout, 'His faithfulness lasts forever.'
5In my distress, I called out to the Lord; He answered with rescue and strength.
6The Lord is on my side; I am not afraid. What can others do to me?
7The Lord is my helper; I will see my enemies fall. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in others.
8It is better to trust in God than in worldly riches.
9The Lord is our strength and shield; in Him we find victory.
10The nations surround me, but I triumph because of the Lord.
11I will not be afraid of trouble because the Lord is my salvation.
12Like a burst of arrows, my enemies strike, but I am protected by God's love.
13I was pushed hard, but God helped me to stand.
14The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.
15Shouts of victory and joy resound in the tents of the righteous.
16The Lord’s right hand is raised high; His mighty power is at work.
17I will not die, but live to proclaim what the Lord has done!
18The Lord disciplines me in love, but He does not abandon me to death.
19Open the gates of righteousness, that I may enter and give thanks.
20This is the door of the Lord; only the righteous may come in.
21I thank you, Lord, for hearing me and for answering my prayers.
22The rejected stone has become the cornerstone; this is the Lord’s doing.
23It is marvelous in our eyes.
24This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
25Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success!
26Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless You from the house of the Lord.
27The Lord is God, shining upon us. Bring the festival offering and carry it in procession.
28You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, and I will exalt You.
29Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever.
