Text of Psalm 107
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
Let the redeemed proclaim His greatness, those rescued from adversity.
They gather from distant lands, returning home rejoicing because the Lord has guided their paths.
Some wandered in desert wastelands, lost and hungry, until they cried out to the Lord for help.
They were thirsty, their spirits fainting, but cried to Him in their distress.
He heard their cries and led them to a place of refreshment and safety.
Those who walk in darkness, bound by despair, find light through His gracious intervention.
Let them praise the Lord for His unfailing love and wonderful deeds.
He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry with good things.
Some sit in prison, forgotten and lonely, yet the Lord's mercy reaches even into their confinement.
Because they rebelled against His commands, they suffered; yet, when they turned back, He was compassionate.
He rescued them from their troubles, saving them from destruction.
Sing praises to the Lord for His steadfast love, for His mercy endures forever.
