Text of Psalm 69
Lord, I cry out to You in my distress; I am overwhelmed with pain and sorrow.
I call to You, knowing You are my refuge and strength in times of trouble.
My heart is broken, and my voice is filled with groans as I seek Your mercy.
Lord, I am drowned in my tears, overwhelmed by the burden of my fears and regrets.
Do not turn away from me now, for I am desperate and in need of Your salvation.
I have poured out my soul to You, Lord, longing for Your comfort and deliverance.
My enemies have twisted my words and sought to shame me, but I trust in Your faithful love.
Rescue me from the depths of my despair, show me Your favor and mercy.
For the zeal for Your house consumes me, and I mourn for those who do not seek You.
Tears have become my food day and night, as I thirst for the presence of God.
If I forget You, Lord, may my words be consumed by fire and my prayers fade away.
But I hope in You, and I will praise Your name with fervor and heartfelt praise.
Do not hide Your face from me, Lord, in my suffering; answer me with kindness.
Because You uphold the humble and those who seek You earnestly, I trust in Your goodness.
Turn to me, Lord, and show me Your salvation and lovingkindness.
I pray for Your deliverance, that I may praise You with a pure heart.
Help me, Lord, because I am overwhelmed and exhausted; save me in Your mercy.
Bring me closer to You, that I may lift Your name with joy that lasts forever.
Let Your salvation be my song, and let me declare Your goodness to all nations.
For Your mercy endures forever, and Your faithfulness is unending.
