Text of Psalm 6
Lord, I am worn out with grief; my bones suffer in agony.
My soul is deeply troubled, overwhelmed by cries for mercy.
Turn to me, O Lord, and save me; rescue me from my suffering.
My enemies rejoice at my pain, but I trust in Your mercy to heal me.
No one who hopes in You will be ashamed; I seek Your compassion.
I am exhausted from groaning; every night my bed is soaked with tears.
My eyes grow dim because of grief, I feel the pain of my soul.
Turn away from me, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my cry.
The Lord has listened to my plea for mercy; He accepts my prayer.
Shame and disgrace fall upon those who seek to harm me, but I find refuge in Your love.
Let all who dwell in fear trust in You, knowing You are compassionate.
Be gracious to me, O Lord, for my strength is weak; deliver me from distress.
I praise You for Your mercy that sustains me, even in my dark moments.
Save me, Lord, for I am feeling abandoned and in despair.
My soul waits patiently for Your salvation, trusting in Your goodness.
Thank You for hearing my pleas and for the comfort of Your mercy.
May I experience Your healing and find peace in Your presence; for You are my hope forever.
